Introducing Follow the Leader
The plot in the game is quite dark, with themes of imbalance and abuse of power, but it also offers a message of hope and empowerment through the choices the player makes. The game takes place in a world where a group of powerful men known as the Barons have all the power and strength. The main character is a young man who grew up as a servant in a shopkeeper’s house, whose mother is also a salesman for him. However, his mother eventually succumbed to the Baron’s cruel ways and ran away, leaving him alone.
The protagonist tries his best over the years and eventually earns enough credits at the age of 25 to freely buy himself. But before fleeing, he stopped the Baron’s way of tormenting the harem. The Baron captures the protagonist and prepares to execute him the next day, but three human women help him escape. Then, the main character and three women go on a journey together, the choices and decisions of the player will determine their fate.
The main character’s plot establishes a compelling story in which the player experiences life as a servant in the house of a powerful man. The game’s description of the harem system is sensitive and thoughtful, acknowledging the harm and exploitation that can come with it. The player’s decision to stop the Baron’s abuse is a pivotal moment in the story and sets the stage for the rest of the game.
